OPERATION

Unfiltered liquid enters the housing above the filter bag which has been installed in the filter bag basket. The liquid passes through the filter bag. Solids are contained within the filter bag and are easily removed when serviced.

COVER DESIGNS
General Purpose
Eye Bolt

Aluminum bar knobs with grade 8 bolts thread into helicoils in the housing's top collar to provide the unique general purpose cover closure.

 
Housings are offered in carbon steel, 304 and 316 stainless steel.

The cover is secured by three eye bolt - eye nut assemblies. One of them acts as a hinge.
This is the traditional cover used on filter bag housings for those applications that require quick opening covers with all the components remaining in place on the housing during filter bag changes.
Advantages over clamp type cover housings include:
Safety
Ease of installation & removal
Positive sealing

Standard bolts can be used in place of bar knobs,hence the filter is never out of service
STRAINER BASKET OPTION
All housings are available with perforated or mesh lined strainer
baskets in place of filter bag baskets. The baslets are supplied with a
handle across the top for easy installation and removal.
HOUSING MATERIALS
Housings are available in aluminum, carbon steel, 304 or 316 stainless steel.

Aluminum can be used in place of carbon steel, stainless steel or plastic in many
applications with superior results. It is especially effective in water
and water based applications.

Machine tool coolants, biodiesel & waste vegetable oils are among the best applications for aluminum housings.

Aluminum is only available with the general purpose cover design.
